CastPoint — Terms of Service

Last updated: September 18, 20261. Acceptance of TermsBy downloading, installing, or using CastPoint, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.2. Description of ServiceCastPoint is a fishing logbook application that allows you to record catches, view fishing spots on a map, track statistics, and earn achievements. Some features require a paid Pro subscription.3. AccountsYou are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.4. Subscriptions and PaymentsCastPoint Pro is available as a monthly ($4.99 CAD/month) or annual ($24.99 CAD/year) subscription.- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.5. User ContentYou retain ownership of all content you create in CastPoint (catches, photos, notes). By marking catches as public, you grant CastPoint a license to display that data on the community map to other users. You may delete your content at any time.6. Prohibited UseYou agree not to:- Use the app to violate any laws, including fishing regulations.
- Upload inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content.
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the service.
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent free tier limits.7. Community Standards and Objectionable ContentThere is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on CastPoint. By posting to the community feed you agree not to submit content that is:- Harassing, threatening, hateful, or that targets a person or group.
- Sexually explicit, violent, or graphic beyond the normal depiction of a lawfully caught fish.
- Illegal, or that depicts poaching, protected species, or the violation of any fishing regulation.
- Spam, advertising, impersonation, or deliberately false information.Every post and comment can be reported from the menu on that item, and any angler can be blocked so their content no longer reaches you. We review every report and remove violating content and the accounts that post it within 24 hours. Repeat or severe violations result in permanent removal from the service without refund.To report content or appeal a removal, use the in-app report option or email [email protected].8. DisclaimerCastPoint is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Fishing forecasts, moon phases, and solunar data are for informational purposes only. Always follow local fishing regulations and obtain proper licenses. We are not responsible for any fishing outcomes.9. Limitation of LiabilityTo the maximum extent permitted by law, CastPoint shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.10. Account DeletionYou may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen. This will permanently delete your account and all associated data. Active subscriptions must be canceled separately through your device's subscription settings.11. Changes to TermsWe reserve the right to modify these terms.
